Sandboarding is the desert equivalent of snowboarding — and it is just as much fun. The towering dunes of Erg Chebbi provide the perfect slopes for sandboarding, with runs suitable for beginners and thrill-seekers alike. Our sandboards are professional quality, and our guides will teach you the basics before you hit the dunes.
Sandboarding is included in many of our multi-day tours and can be added to any custom itinerary. It is suitable for ages 8 and up, and no experience is required.
Tips for Sandboarding
Wear closed-toe shoes (sand gets hot!), bring sunscreen and water, and start on smaller dunes before tackling the big ones. Most people get the hang of it within a few runs.
