Itinerary
After a delicious breakfast at your lodging on the first day of our 6-day trip from Casablanca to Marrakech, we’ll head to Fez with a stop in Meknes, a city nestled beneath the Middle Atlas Mountains.
We’ll make stops at notable locations including the Volubilis Roman Ruins, a World Heritage Site, among others. After lunch, continue on your journey to Fes. We will arrive at your lodging in the late afternoon once we have arrived in Fez, where you will have dinner and sleep.
The day will be especially focused on the tour to Fes after breakfast. Three distinct areas make up this lovely city: Fez el Bali, the historic district. Fès el Jdid, the French side of the old and new Medina.
Visitors to this city are utterly enthralled by one of the largest mediaeval sites with seemingly infinite streets. There are many places to see, including the Andalusian Mosque, the Mellah, the Jewish Quarter, the Plaza of the Dyers, Fes el Bali, the city’s new medina, Fes el Jedid, the ancient medina, and many more.
Following the conclusion of the sightseeing tour, we’ll make our way to the riad, where you’ll eat dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, we will continue our tour to the Merzouga desert, stopping at a few different interesting locations along the way. We shall now enter the Middle Atlas on our journey.
Ifrane people are delightful and quite different from the rest of Morocco. Its climate is colder than the rest, and its European architecture is somewhat different. Then, we’ll travel to Azrou, home to numerous dormant volcanoes, including Jebel Hebri (2104 metres), among others.
Additionally, in Azrou, we will explore the oldest forest in our nation, which is home to many friendly monkeys and cedar trees. The settlement is distinguished by its significant cottage industry in cedar, and after that, we’ll have a tour of the city to visit the highlights.
We will continue our 6-day trip from Casablanca to Marrakech to Midelt, which is sandwiched between the Middle and High Atlas mountains. After stopping for lunch, we’ll continue on to the Ziz Valley to take in the vastness of the red gorges, the enormous oasis they cover, and the picturesque villages and adobe kasbahs.
We will arrive at Merzouga later in the afternoon, at which point you can leave your belongings in our inn and take what you need to spend the night in a tent. Depending on when we arrive, we’ll have tea and relax before heading out as we outfit the camels. You will start your grand trip in Erg Chebbi up of these enormous animals once everything is ready.
We will arrive at camp after an hour and a half, have experienced the beautiful sand colours we provided throughout those hours, and arrive just in time to enjoy the sunset. You’ll then have a traditional Moroccan meal, followed by live drumming and a campfire so you may join us as we gaze up at the vastness of the night sky.
You’ll get up early the following morning to see the dawn. We’ll go see a nomad family at noon. You will observe how the Berber pizza is produced before tasting it while we eat outside in the shade.
You will have a little break following lunch, and then we’ll start carving out a path into the desert. In addition to visiting Khamlia (a town of people with dark complexion), the MeFes mines, and the Berber nomads residing on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, we will see an oasis in the desert while travelling in a 4×4 vehicle. Once you go back to the camp, you’ll have dinner, play music once more, and sleep in a Berber tent.
You can take a shower after the camel trek back to the riad the following morning. We’ll continue on to Rissani and pause there to check out a sizable market where a variety of goods are sold, including handicrafts, carpets, animals, and food.
After lunch, we will continue our march toward the Draa Valley, stopping along the way to take pictures and save these priceless locations in our memories. We will arrive at Ouarzazate, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
We will tour the tower- and wall-filled Kasbah of Taourirt, a World Heritage Site, after breakfast. Jewish and Islamic beliefs coexist inside.
Later, we’ll travel to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city that has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and has served as the backdrop for several well-known films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy. One of Morocco’s best-preserved fortified Kasbahs, where they were built to protect homes, farms, and palm trees.
The Kasbah of Telouet, which is the following stop, lies in the village of Telouet and was used to cross the High Atlas to go to Marrakech. Although it is obviously crumbling, Kasbah has a unique appeal.
We will drive through the High Atlas on the way, stopping a few times to take in the beautiful landscape, take pictures, and breathe in the clean air that this area has to offer. This 6-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech will come to an end when we arrive in the city of Marrakech and proceed to your lodging.
