Itinerary
Our 3-day group excursion through the desert from Fes to Marrakech begins in the morning. Drive south to the desert, leaving the city of Fez behind. We’ll stop for a brief respite in the city of Ifrane before making a pit stop in a cedar grove in the Middle Atlas Mountains to see some Barbary apes.
We’ll stop for lunch somewhere along the road. We will be travelling via the Ziz Valley, which is renowned for its oasis filled with palm trees, before arriving in Merzouga.
Arrive in the afternoon at the desert. From here, our camels will lead us on a real camel caravan through Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes. We’ll stop along the route to stand atop a tall dune and take in a brilliant sunset. then proceed on foot to the camp.
When you arrive, our camp staff will escort you to your personal tent where you may unwind and possibly have a shower. Enjoy sitting around a bonfire beneath a sky full of stars after a great dinner as our crew plays drums and sings Berber music. You’ll learn how to play the drums from us as well.

It is highly advised to get up early today to witness the peaceful moment when the desert area is illuminated by the sun’s golden fingers. Following a satisfying breakfast at the camp, our 4×4 vehicles will depart for Merzouga.
Commence the trip to the Dades Gorges. If it’s Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday, we’ll go to a traditional Moroccan souk in Rissani to learn more about the country’s culture and way of life. We then go on our way. We will travel via Tinghir along the Todra River till we arrive at the Todra Canyon. Take a stroll beneath these towering, 300-meter-high cliffs.
We’ll make a stop at a location with unusual rock formations in the Dades Gorges (known as monkey fingers). This area used to be the ocean floor. Before arriving at your lovely hotel, we will also get to enjoy an amazing vista of a zigzag road.

After breakfast, the journey travels via Kalaat M’gouna’s Valley of Roses. Visit Ouarzazate and have a look at the Atlas Studio from the street. It is the biggest film studio in the world. The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is not distant from the city. The historic fortified settlement, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a superb illustration of Moroccan architecture. Parts of numerous well-known films and television shows, including The Mummy, Gladiator, O Clone, and Game of Thrones, were filmed there.
We will go through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains after exploring the ancient Kasbah. Arrive late in the day in Marrakech. We leave you off at the place that is the closest to your riad by car, capping off your shared excursion over the desert from Fes to Marrakech.

Booking this shared group excursion as soon as possible is advised because we only allow 10 guests per group.
Reservations are confirmed with a prepayment of simply 150 euros via PayPal to our account. The remainder of the money can be made to our guide on the first day in cash, euros, or the equivalent in dollars or dirhams. Additionally, we take bank transfers.
If the reservation is cancelled two days or less before the event, we will charge a 100% cancellation fee.
Good To Know
- We need a minimum of 4 people for our small group trips, which is typically doable. - You’ll always have access to your bags. A 4×4 car will transport your stuff to the camp during a camel trip, where you will find it when you get there.
- It will take an hour and a half to ride a camel to the aforementioned camp.
- Depending on each person’s preference, either camels or 4×4 cars are used to go to or from the camp.
- There are enough blankets and towels at the opulent camp; you don’t need to bring a sleeping bag or a towel.
- To prevent food illness, our guide will take you to places with fresh food. Typically, the menu costs between €8 and €10.
- On the route, your guide may recommend stopping at a tiny Berber (a Moroccan indigenous group) shop, where you can don a traditional Berber attire and take complimentary group photos. Then, if you choose, you can make a purchase. Please be aware that nothing has to be purchased. The local store’s primary objective is to promote Berber culture.
