Itinerary
When you arrive in Casablanca, the capital and largest city of Morocco, you will be welcomed by a private driver who will take you to your hotel where you may check in and unwind for the afternoon.
You may elect to take an optional tour of the Hassan II mosque, depending on time. It is one of the biggest mosques in the entire world, and its intricate beauty will astound you. The hotel will provide dinner.
You will depart for Chefchaouen, Morocco’s fabled blue city in the Rif Mountains, after breakfast to begin your 15-day journey of the country.
While travelling, you will eat lunch and have some free time in Rabat, the capital and residence of the King.
You will continue to Chefchaouen for the evening after lunch. The hotel will provide dinner.
You will go for the ancient Roman remains of Volubilis in the morning after eating breakfast. The morning will be spent examining the 2000-year-old ruins and learning about daily life under the Roman Empire.
We’ll eat lunch at Meknes, one of the imperial cities of Morocco. Following lunch, your tour guide will show you around Meknes before you continue on to Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural centre. The hotel will provide dinner.
You will start your guided tour of the medina, one of the biggest walled cities in the world, after breakfast. You will tour the winding alleyways filled with Moroccan artwork, including finely woven Berber rugs, piles of spices, and fresh fruit.
Among the places you will see are the potters, the tanneries, and the royal palace. You will have lunch in a quaint eatery in the middle of the medina. You’ll finish the tour after lunch and head back to your accommodation for the night. We’re going to a neighbourhood restaurant for dinner.
You will start your trek across the Middle Atlas Mountains after an early breakfast. As you traverse the Atlas Mountains and start to descend toward the Sahara Desert, you will spend the majority of the day threading your way through picturesque woods, craggy rock faces, and Berber settlements.
You will pause for lunch at the town of Midelt, known for its fossils and rocks, halfway through. After the drive, it will be a joy to have a hot shower or a plunge in the pool at the Kasbah in Merzouga, depending on the weather. The Kasbah will serve dinner.
The most of the day will be spent at the hotel unwinding or touring the little but charming desert settlements.
To reach the magnificent Sahara sand dunes, you will travel across the desolate terrain in various 4-wheel drive vehicles in the afternoon.
To see the sunset, you will ride a camel for a half-hour walk out onto the dunes. You’ll sleep in tents made of berber material (Dinner is included).
You will ride a camel back to the 4x4s after breakfast before returning to Erfoud. You depart from Erfoud and travel toward the Todra Gorges in the shadow of the High Atlas Mountains.
You’ll go on a walk-up in the impressive Todra Gorges in the afternoon (600 feet high). The travel to Morocco’s southeast is made attractive by the scenic river valleys.
Before crossing the High Atlas Mountains, you will spend the night in Dades. The Kasbah will serve dinner.
You leave for Ouarzazate along the Way of 1000 Kasbahs after a leisurely breakfast. You are welcome to explore the historic Kasbahs located in the palm groves.
You should make the drive up to the Dades Gorges to experience this incredible natural treasure. When you get at Ouarzazate, you can explore this southern town, which is probably best known today for the movies that have been shot nearby. The hotel will provide dinner.
Early departure for Taliouine, a lovely oasis town and the nation’s saffron capital. Continue to Taroudant, which offers a wonderful panorama of southern Morocco. Taroudant was originally the first capital of the Saadian kingdom and the previous regional seat. It is situated at the confluence of the Souss valley and the High Atlas mountains.
The ochre walls, sweetness of life, and Berber friendliness of Moroccans in Taroudant provide a relaxing environment and a distinctive product for scholars to enjoy throughout the year.
Visit the incredibly attractive souks where you may get Berber jewellery, ceramics, painted wood, leather, iron, and wood. The afternoon is free.
After breakfast, depart for Agadir, which offers a 360-degree vista of the Atlantic Ocean. The vast, shallow beach of Agadir, which is situated on a crescent of sand, reaches as far as the eye can see.
After eating lunch in Agadir, we continue our journey northward toward Essaouira, a city with a distinct atmosphere where you can explore the Phoenician, Berber, Portuguese, Jewish, and French pasts in the well-preserved architecture. Its charming fishing harbour, whitewashed buildings with blue paintwork, and small alleyways reflect the Portuguese character of early settlers.
After breakfast, we go to Marrakech through a beautiful inland route that passes through a forest of Argan trees, which are unique to this part of the globe. En route, we stop to take pictures of goats that are gathering Argan fruits.
Visit a local women’s cooperative for Argan oil after that. You can go on a tour to discover the process used to make argan oil, interact with the women, and purchase delights like handcrafted soap or “Amlou,” a typical Moroccan jam, to take home. We next proceed to Marrakech. Stay the night in a hotel or riad.
Today is a sightseeing day trip to Marrakesh, the second-oldest imperial city and “Pearl of the South.” To learn more about this ancient city’s fascinating history and rich cultural heritage, you will visit the Saadian tombs, the city’s tallest structure, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens.
You will tour the souks and the internationally renowned Djemaa El Fna area, which features a variety of entertainment options, including open-air grilled food booths, acrobats, snake charmers, magicians, and musicians. The Fantasia supper at a neighbourhood restaurant is optional.
Enjoy the fantasy entertainment that features belly dancers, folkloric armies from several Moroccan areas, and horse exhibitions. Overnight.
Morning at your leisure to explore the medina. Visit the adjacent Ourika valley South of Marrakech on an optional half-day tour to see real traditional Berber living.
